What happens when a ten-year-old little girl redirects the lives of her two kidnappers? Major League hopeful Joey Carlucci and his childhood friend Dominick Mazzetti, born and bred in Hoboken, NJ, are sentenced to a life of small-time debt collecting, until ordered by their boss, Bookie “Big Tommy” Cesaro to find and collect $400,000 from deadbeat Willie Starks. Discovering that Willie has relocated to Los Angeles, Joey and Dom pack their bags and head out west ~ only to find themselves in a world they never imagined. From an overzealous bellhop and two crazy gun-toting Cubans, to the unplanned kidnapping of Willie’s 10-year-old daughter, Joey and Dom find their world spinning completely out of control, culminating in their madcap rescue by Joey’s girlfriend Nickie.
YOUR INDEPENDENT MOVIE GUIDE
"Newcomers Langa and Angelotti make a definite splash with their first feature. The two have a good natural chemistry together, and the inevitable comparisons to Affleck/Damon will be a great help to them. Their script is also surprisingly taut, lacking the usual pretentious crap so evident in most maiden cinematic voyages. The dialogue is sharp and funny, and the characters are as colorful and memorable as those in an Elmore Leonard novel. These two have a real future in Hollywood, and I can’t wait to see their next effort."

"… the film has turned out to be the showcase for their (Angelotti and Langa) talent. You Got Nothin’ boasts a solid supporting cast as well, including veteran actor Joe Cortese as the mob boss Big Tommy Cesaro. It also looks phenomenal, not just for an indie film but for any film."

"YOU GOT NOTHIN' REALLY HAS SOMETHIN'"
"...occasionally a film comes along that has a great story and script, and although no big names are attached, is a complete joy to watch. My guess is that the distributors that ignore such a jewel will soon regret it. One such film is YOU GOT NOTHIN'... when you come across a well-crafted project like YOU GOT NOTHIN', it makes one stop and think like a distributor: If I had YOU GOT NOTHIN' I'd really have somethin!"
